Pots ‘n Pans is about innovative Vietnamese cuisine infused with the best of new vogue presentations from around the world.

Our food takes the best ideas from modern Vietnamese cuisine and adds a new flair. The flavours are familiar but prepared and presented differently. We do not detract from what we believe to be the core of Vietnamese cuisine which is an emphasis on fresh and flavoursome ingredients. However, we believe that the produce in Vietnam lends itself to a wider range of cooking techniques and presentations.

Pots ‘n Pans was born in 2011; and is brought to you by graduates from Vietnam’s KOTO (Know One, Teach One) training program which works with street and disadvantaged youth. We are a multi-level restaurant and lounge bar experience in the heart of Hanoi. Pots ‘n Pans is an innovative partnership between KOTO and its training program graduates along with its international partner; Small Giants.

A select group of inspiring and experienced KOTO graduates share direct responsibility for the successful governance and management of the venue. We tirelessly strive to have a positive impact on our community and the environment. A percentage of profits are returned to KOTO and other community initiatives. Come in, visit us and be inspired…

Reviews from Customer:

”When taking a dear friend for a special birthday lunch we chose Pots’n Pans. The fresh decor blends modern style with a touch of earthiness and is pleasing, clean and comfortable. From the tasting plate we selected from the extended menu, warm bread and flavoured salts, to our main courses of quail, duck and poussin we were delighted by the creative presentation and combination of flavours.
The service was attentive, and competent – but unobtrusive, and Stewart, P’nP’s,charming General Manager was helpful in advising us on our menu selections and organising a special birthday treat. For first impressions on price I would compare it with Halia -where I dined yesterday- and this new restaurant is easily as good – even at this early stage having, recently opened and it is certainly more interesting and International in appearance and the dishes more innovative.
Hopefully these high standards will be able to continue to be met as the restaurant becomes busier in times to come.
Our dining experience was outstanding and I know that we will be back.” _ Pippasweetie

”I ate here with a group of friends for the first time last night and can honestly say, it was the best dining experience I’ve had in Hanoi since arriving 9 months ago.
The decor is gorgeous, very modern and sleek, with some really clever design pieces. Service was excellent, not too over the top and considering they have just opened, staff were well informed and had just the right measure of informality and professionalism. The outstanding part of the night though was the food – as a Chef, I can be rather critical sometimes, but I could not fault a single dish we tried. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the presentation was superb. I have truly found my Melbourne food haven equivalent right here in Hanoi! They have also created a funky bar downstairs which I can see becoming a regular hangout for us. Can’t wait to go back!” _ VirginaHolloway

”This is a great restaurant.

The service was excellent (just the right amount of attentiveness, i.e. the staff didn’t loom ominously over our shoulders as we frantically tried to decide what to order) and they were really friendly and seemed to take pride in their work.

The food was great, too. As we were waiting for our starters, they brought out several delicious varieties of homemade bread and a small sample of the soup of the day, all of which were complimentary – a refreshing change in an ‘upmarket’ Hanoi restaurant, where it can often feel like somebody’s clasping hand is greedily grabbing as much dong as they can for as little as they can give you.

I had the set menu (aubergine + tofu starter, sea bass main course, hot banana + peanut fritter for dessert) which I thought was great value at around 4-500k, I can’t remember exactly how much it was. The others in our group (4) had a number of different dishes and all were very tasty.

I’m only sorry that this was my first visit there, and I’ll definitely be going a great deal more regularly over the coming months.” _ Pearson
