About 10 kilometers to the east of Da Nang city, Son Tra Peninsula has beautiful pristine bays, with blue waters, white sand and abundant virgin forest.

The Son Tra – Dien Ngoc road leading to the sea. Visitors can see the peninsula in fuzzy cloud and the giant Buddha statue of the Linh Ung Pagoda from any location in the city of Da Nang.

Tho Quang dock where hosts most of the fishing boats of local fishermen. Life is hard but it cannot stop the smiles of coastal people. The rites to open the sea in the early year of fishermen in Son Tra, praying for a year of good weather and boats full of fish.

Passing bends between two steep mountain sides, a magnificent scene suddenly appears. The waves embrace the beautiful strait. It had many names before being officially named Son Tra.


This mountain is home to many monkeys so it is also known as the Monkey Mountain.

Son Tra Peninsula with elevation of 693 m above sea level. In ancient times, Son Tra was an island of three mountains. Gradually, the ocean currents brought sediment to make a promontory from the mainland to the island, forming Son Tra Peninsula. The field of wild white daisies is at a height of nearly 600 meters above sea level.

On the peak, there is a large radar station, called “God’s eye of Indochina,” which is very important for national security. This is also the only place to see the airspace of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
