Trains to be added to Sai Gon-Phan Thiet route during Tet 2014

The Sai Gon Railway Passenger Transport Company will add trains SPT4/SPT3 on the Sai Gon – Phan Thiet route and vice versa on February 1, 2 and 3 (the first, second and third days of the first lunar month of 2014) to meet the increasing travel demand for Tet holiday.


This was said by Thai Van Tuyen, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh city’s Sai Gon station, on January 21.


Specifically, the train will run through Sai Gon, Bien Hoa, Binh Thuan and Phan Thiet stations. The SPT4 train will start from Sai Gon at 7.30 am and arrive Phan Thiet at 11.19 am, while the return of the SPT3 will depart from Phan Thiet at 2.10 pm and come Sai Gon at 7.55 pm.


Earlier, the Sai Gon station said that there will be about 9,000 tickets for trains from Sai Gon on January 20,21,22 and 29 and some 12,000 tickets for trains to Sai Gon on February 3-5 and February 9-15. In addition, about 4,000 auxiliary seats will be provided from January 20-23 from Quang Ngai station and on January 28-29 from Hue station.
