Giang Café is one of four famous Hanoi restaurants in the 20th century including Nhan Café, Nhi Café, Di Café, Giang Café. There are two Giang Café addresses: 39 Nguyen Huu Huan Street and 106 Yen Phu Street.
Giang Café has its own history in Hanoi people memory. Giang Café, which named by Nguyen Van Giang – a bartender used to work at Metropole Restaurant, was made by Capuchino. After 1955, Giang Café moved to 7 Hang Gai Street. From 1988 to 1989, his daughter Mrs. Bich who taught literature at high school decided to open her own restaurant on 13 Dinh Tien Hoang Street. Until the year of 2000, Giang Café was separated into two restaurants: a restaurant on 39 Nguyen Huu Huan Street and a restaurant on 106 Yen Phu Street.
